This early 356 A has quite the history, and an even better restoration. Lago green was first introduced in ’56, and was the first metallic color offered by Porsche. With known history and ownership since new, this 356 comes with a binder documenting its fantastic provenance. Owned in the 90’s back to back by Frank Saucedo and Freeman Thomas, it served as inspiration as they designed the new generation VW Bug together. Freeman convinced Frank to buy it because he couldn’t swing it at the time for $15,000 it cost then. Later Freeman took ownership, and Frank went on to be head of design for GM and Freeman head of Design for Ford. After a world-class restoration under Jerry Murray’s ownership, the Lago Green coupe changed hands to its current owner. With matching green interior and factory accessories such as the headlight covers, this 356 is set to win your heart and any concours it enters.
